NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT SCIENCE CAMP

SCIENTIFIC CONTENT:

At National Environment Science Camp 2017-18, we shall attempt, scientifically and spiritually, to understand the timeless connection between Forest and Man.
This Camp will be organized at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve which is a part of one of the greatest forest in the world, the Terrai.

We shall investigate through our Dares (activities):
- What a forest actually is ?
- Creation and significance of Forest
- How forests have influenced human existence and civilization?
- How human activity has impacted the forest?

Wise men say that if there is something that can save the world, it is a Tree. This is because a tree is like a carbon sink that absorbs carbon dioxide; thereby reducing our carbon footprint. We have ambitious idea to re-create a forest itself. This project will be initiated this year.

The central objective of the National Environment Science Camp (NEVSC) 2017-18 is to study first hand the critical role of forest in Human Life
